Senior Brunch and Graduation Walk Through

Join the Black Graduation Advisory Committee in celebrating the Class of 2017's accomplishments! If you would like for your baby and graduation picture, followed by your favorite quote to be included in the slideshow, please send this information to Afrikan American Affairs at aaa.utaustin@gmail.com. All submissions must be received by May 15, 2017, in order to be included.

 

A short graduation walk through will directly follow the brunch.

 

Ceremony and Reception

Date: May 18, 2017

Time: 10AM-3PM

Location: Texas Union Ballroom

 

Please arrive at the Texas Union Lone Star room on May 18, 2017, no later than 10AM with your cap and gown. Please visit the registration tables upon arrival, check in, and take an index card to write the phonetic pronunciation of your name.

Graduates will be lined up at 11:15AM and processed in by faculty promptly at 12PM. Late arrivals will have seats saved. Ceremony will include an undergraduate address, keynote speech, stolling and/or hooding of graduates, and welcome from the Black Exes.

A reception featuring heavy hors d'œuvres and a graduate toast will immediately follow the ceremony. Graduate certificates and gift bags will be given out during this part of the celebration. Black Graduation is scheduled from 12-3PM.

Photos

A photographer will be on hand to capture every special moment. Photos will be posted on the Black Graduation website following the ceremony.
